Madeline A. (Rosheck) Zach

SOUTH BEND Madeline A. Zach, 91, residing in South Bend, passed away at 9:57 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born September 6, 1921, in South Bend, a daughter of Paul E. & Martha (Landuit) Rosheck, and had lived in this community all of her life.

On November 26, 1949, in South Bend, as Madeline Rosheck, she was united in marriage to George J. Zach. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, and sister, Josephine E. Singleton.

Madeline retired in 1996 as the office manager for St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, after 56 years. She stayed active in line dancing and aerobics.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra J. (Jim) Kiechle of Lowell, IN; her son, Jerry (Linda) A. Zach of South Bend; five grandchildren, Patricia (Paul) Starcevich, Nicholas (Julie) Gasparovic, Jeff Zach, Laura (Eldon) Rosine and Chris Zach; nine great-grandchildren, Amanda (Adam) Duncan, Valerie and Katie Gasparovic, Zachary, Sarah and Matthew Starcevich, Damien Zach, and John and Paige Daugherty; and three great-great-grandchildren, Aiden, Isabella and Ryan.

Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, in the Palmer Funeral Home, Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
