Richard W. Nelson

Richard W. Nelson died Tuesday in the Vicksburg Medical Center. He was 62. He was a native of South Bend, Ind., and had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past seven years.

Mr. Nelson was a retired accountant with Westinghouse. He was a veteran of World war II, serving in the U.S. Army Infantry.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Irene Nelson of Vicksburg; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Purdy of Cincinnati, Ohio, Miss Sandy Nelson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Miss Kathy Nelson of Vicksburg; one son, Geoffrey Nelson of Fort Lauderdale; one granddaughter; two brothers and four sisters.

Memorial services will be Friday at 2p.m. in the Fisher Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Noel Prendergast, pastor of St. Michael's Catholic Church, officiating
