Martha "Marty' Helen (Murphy) Ponader

Martha "Marty' Helen Ponader, 81, passed away November 5, 2002, at her residence. Mrs. Ponader was born in Southbend, Ind. She came to Brevard County in 1951 from her birthplace. She worked as a Bus Driver for the Brevard County School System for 25 years before retiring.

An avid Orlando Magic Fan. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, needlework and cats.

Mrs. Ponader is survived her son, W. George (Lilly) Ponader Ill, of Indialantic; daughters, Charlotte (John) Posey of San Antonio, Texas, Lynn' (Marshall) Malone of Indialantic, Cathleen Frazier of Satellite Beach, and Candee (George) Alexander of Melbourne; and grandchildren, Heather Frazier, Ryan and Melissa Alexander, all who called her Nanny.

Calling hour will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, with services following at 2 p.m., in the Florida Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to the South Brevard Humane Society. Florida. Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements
