Charles F. Morfoot

Charles F. Morfoot, 61, of 1828 Wilson Ave., died at 9:38 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He retired in 1974 from Wheelabrator-Frye as office manager.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1921, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident.

On Nov. 23, 1944, in Elgin, Ill., he married M. Camille Sullivan. She survives with three daughters, Miss Colleen Morfoot of Brownstown, Ind., Mrs. Cheryl Ross of Mishawaka and Mrs. Colette Hannigan of Chicago; a son, Charles F. Morfoot Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; two granddaughters; and a sister, Mrs. John F. (Eileen) Helmer of South Bend.

Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. Rev. Robert A. Yast, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the McGann Funeral Home, 624 N. Notre Dame Ave., where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Morfoot was a member of the church and the American Management Society.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph C County Unit of the American Heart Association.
