Elizabeth Frances Melton, 79, of the Countryside Place Nursing Home, died on Friday, Sept. 29. On July 16, 1921, she was born in South Bend, Ind., to Glenn Bryan and Minnie (Kallies) Melton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and by Archie (Petie) Yankee, Glen B. Melton, Ruth L. Yankee and Phyllis McGriff.

Elizabeth was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, Eagles Lodge of Mishawaka and the Uniroyal Bowling League. She was employed at Uniroyal for many years.

She is survived by her nieces, Patricia Rinehart of Burlington, Ind., Carol Kay Gatlin of Osceola, Ind., Geneva Jane Weesner of Mishawaka, Ind., Glenna Harter of Chesterton, Ind., Tamara Sue Kindley of Mishawaka and Ann Marie Dylewski of Mishawaka; a nephew, James Yankee of Mishawaka; and by other nieces and nephews located in California, Alabama and Indiana.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, located on Jefferson and Ironwood. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, in the FOREST G. HAY Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Officiating will be Rev. James Link of Faith Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice
