Dorothy Mae (McCauley) Singer

NILES - Dorothy M. Singer, 75, of 411 Pokagon St., died at 1:24 p.m. Sunday in Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, after an illness. Mrs. Singer was retired from Simplicity Pattern Co. She was born July 3, 1920, in South Bend.

On Aug. 22, 1942, in South Bend, she married Robert V. Singer. He survives with two daughters, Linda Brooks-Cooper of Atlanta and Bonnie Price of Detroit; a son, Harold Sr. of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; five great -grandchildren; three sisters, Norma Jean Haliburtion of South Bend, and Bessie Allen and Ruth Beasly, both of Richmond, Calif.

She was a member of Franklin A.M.E. Church.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the church. Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Halbritter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
