William Edward Lawrence

William Edward Lawrence, age 93 of Jackson, TN, passed away on April 22, 2014 at Jackson General Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 3 p.m., at Malesus First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Ray Chandler officiating. Interment will follow with military honors in Ebenezer Cemetery in South Jackson.

Mr. Lawrence was born on March 21, 1921 in Chicago, IL to the late William H. and Esther Peterson Lawrence. He was an active member of Malesus United Methodist Church and the Knights Temple, enjoyed bowling, golf, and socializing with friends. He served his country during WWII and joined allied forces at the battle of Iwo Jima. He was employed for more than 45 years at Bendix Corporation and Allied Signal Corporation managing distribution operations. He was a devoted husband and father who will be missed by all.

He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 67 years, Patricia Ann Wolfe Lawrence; children, Kelly Robert Lawrence of South Bend, IN, Kacy Anne Stone of Clarksville, TN and Kevin Patrick Lawrence of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, John Paul, Ryan, Asa, William, Matthew, Nicholas, Rachel and Dillon; and one great-grandchild, Sabina.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Malesus First United Methodist Church.
