Ruth Ann Kuehn

SOUTH BEND - Ruth Ann Kuehn, 90, of Delray Beach, died Aug. 19, 2011. She was born in South Bend, IN, on July 13, 1921, to Paul O. and Matilda Richman Kuehn.
She was predeceased by her mother, father, and sisters, Alice K. Smith and Helene K. Baillie.
She is survived by her nieces, Suzanne Smith Guyer of Owensboro, KY, Barbara Baillie Obenchain of South Bend, IN, and Nancy Baillie Malke of Sugar Land, TX; and her nephew, Craig Allan Smith of Oceanside, CA.
Upon graduation from Indiana University, Ruth Ann worked for her father at Kuehn's Shoe Store and then at Studebaker in South Bend and the Navy Chaplain's Office and the Office of Housing & Urban Development, both in Washington, DC.
Ruth Ann was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, the Junior League, The League of Women Voters and the National City Christian Church. She volunteered for both the American Red Cross and the Florida House in DC. She enjoyed traveling. Ruth Ann was a generous and caring person and will be dearly missed. She will be interred at Highland Cemetery in South Bend.
A family remembrance service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, The Salvation Army, 615 Slaters Lane, Alexandria, VA 22313
