Gertrude A. Barrier, 61, of 1109 Bryan St., died at 6:40 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, after an illness of six months. She was a former
employee of Koszegi Leather and Vinyl Products. She was born June 24, 1921, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life.

On June 5, 1979, in South Bend she married Arnold Barrier who survives, along with two daughters, Mr. Helen Poorman of South Bend and Mrs. Verna Jones Maddox of Frankfort, Mich.; Three sons, Jim Glasco of Vincent, Ohio, David and Dale Glasco, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Miss Lila Kennedy of South Bend; and a brother, Robert Kennedy of Edwardsburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, with Rev. Carl Yoder, pastor of Christian Community Center Missionary Church,
officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She was a member of the
church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
