Earl Fred Houston

Earl Fred Houston, 80, of South Ironwood Drive, died Saturday morning in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Earl retired from Oliver Corporation as a wood pattern maker for 38 years.

He was born September 28, 1921 in South Bend to Earl and Elizabeth (Gantert) Houston who preceded him in death.

Surviving is his wife, Lorraine (Cohan); a daughter, Michele Houston of Alberta, Calif.; a son, Daniel M. Houston of Costa Mesa, Calif.; a sister, Betty Spillman of Bend; and a brother, John R. Houston of Walkerton.

Memorial services will be held at a later date at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. There will be no visitation.

Earl was a longtime member of St. Anthony's parish and a South Bend Central High School graduate.
