Robert Van Hoopingarner

GOSHEN - Robert Van Hoopingarner, 84, of 103 S. 8th St., died at 7:15 a.m. Saturday in Goshen General Hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Thecla "Tex" Catherine (Wolf); eight daughters, Mary Hastings of South Portland, Maine, Elizabeth Berfanger of Indianapolis, Kathryn Richter of Beverly Hills, Fla., Jeannie Bunnell of Elkhart, Suzanne Slivka of West Chicago, and Jane Hoover, Karen Grubb and Teresa Evans, all of Goshen; three sons, Robert J. of Ash Grove, Mo., John W. of Goshen and Thomas of New Paris; and a brother, George of Sugar Land, Texas.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, and one hour before services in the church
