William P. Eckhart, 60, died last Thursday at Kenne-stone Hospital in Marietta, after a short illness. The Rose Creek, Mich., native had lived in Marietta four years. He was an electrician for Lockheed-Ga. Corp., a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Albion, Mich.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Eckhart of Glennvile; four sons, John Eckhart of Jacksonville, N.C., David Eckhart of Glennville, Fred Eckhart of Marietta, and William Eckhart, Jr., of Acworth; six sisters, Mrs. Roberta Davis and Mrs. Peg Vosvurgh, both of Niles, Mich., Mrs. Kay Shieman and Mrs. Ona Siegriest, both of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Essie Shipley of Milton Freewater, Wash., and Mrs. Dessa Frisbee of Chain-O-Lakes Ind.; and a brother, Chuck Applegreen of South Bend.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. last Tuesday at Waters Funeral Home in Glennville, with burial in Glennville City Cemetery.
