UNION - Ray Dean Eagles, 70, of 70667 Sunset Blvd., died at 6:20 a.m. today at Michiana Community Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. Mr. Eagles retired in 1982, from CTS Corp. in Elkhart after 26 years of service, and was formerly employed at Studebaker Corp., South Bend.

He was born June 15, 1920, 1 in Albion, moving to Michigan in 1960, coming from South Bend.

On June 20, 1954, in Osceola, he married Margaret Dils, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Gail Snyder of Mishawaka; Gary of Richmond, grandchildren; a great grandchild. A daughter, Kathy Marie Eagles died in 1946.

He was a member of the Cass County Conservation Club and the Quarter Century Club at CTS. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Warner Funeral Home, Osceola. Cremation will follow with burial in Osceola Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Porter County Ambulance Service or the Foster Grand Parent Program of REAL Service in South Bend.
