Evelyn Agatha (Davis) Doan

SOUTH BEND - Evelyn A. Doan, 72, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died at 10:15 p.m. Monday in the nursing home. Mrs. Doan was a former registered, private duty nurse in the area. She was born Oct. 19, 1921, in South Bend, and lived in Hammond most of her life.

On June 15. 1959. in Crown Point. Ind., as Evelyn A. Davis, she married Howard Doan. He died Oct. 27. 1979.

She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Davis of South Bend and Alice M. Eble of Angola, Ind.

She was past president of American Legion Auxiliary, Hammond. Graveside services and burial will be at noon Friday in Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond. There will be no visitation. Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
