Robert Sledzikowski was my mother's (Evalyne Rosenbaum Halasz) classmate. Robert was Central's Latin teacher in the late 1950s and early 1960s. As Central's faculty, he was known as Mr. Robert S. Herringer. He was my Latin teacher in my freshman and sophomore years, 1961 and 1962.

I never had Mr. Herringer as a teacher, but remember him very well.....always a nice guy. May his memory be for a blessing.

I considered Mr. Herringer an outstandingly capable and compentent teacher with a stern countenance that served to assist in ensuring an orderly classroom setting. I would have never guessed how useful his incrediblely thorough class would be to me as an adult. To this day I use the information from his class while navigating the words and structure of the English language. I have endless admiration for his professionalism and what he offered academically.
