Cheryl L. Rivera

November 22, 1955 ~ June 28, 2020 (age 64)

Born November 22, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana, to father, Rogers, and mother, Geraldine Johnson, who both preceded her in death. She departed this life on June 28, 2020, from natural causes.

Cheryl was a lifelong resident of South Bend, where she grew up on the West Side of town and graduated from Central High School. She was the backbone of her family and the life of any party, both of which she enjoyed being. She also loved laughing, spending time with her family, and cooking their favorite meals.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four children: Shamona “She-She” Curtindolph, Ivan “Mann” Jennings Jr. (Latonya), Delania “Dell” White, and Edmond “Dinky” White II.

She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; Terrance Gordon, Yakene Jennings, Iyann Jennings, Edmond White III, Dellano Gordon, I’daja “Cheryl” Gordon, Izavier Jennings, Icon Gunn, Emoni White, Emon White, and Eshon White, Faheem Davis, Terren Thomas, and Da’marion Gordon, whom she all loved dearly.

Five sisters and four brothers: Maxine Crawford, Careel Birton Rogers (Willie), Joann Rogers, Orvetta Rogers, Kim Starr, Ronnie Coleman (Linda), Bubba Johnson (Donna), Bobby McCain (Michelle), David Johnson; and a host of relatives and friends.

She is also preceded in death by two brothers, and two sisters: Joseph Coleman, Ronnie Rogers, Gwendelyn, and Donna Johnson.

Cheryl was very loved, highly favored, and well respected. She will truly be missed.

Rest easy, Queen.
