Bertha Mary Adelsperger
Aug. 15, 1876 – Jan. 12, 1925
Miss Bertha Mary Adelsperger, age 48, principal of the Perley School and for 30 years identified with the city schools as an instructor, died this morning at 4 o’clock at Epworth Hospital following an operation.
Miss Adelsperger had been in ill health for about one year and last winter procured a leave of absence in order to take a rest from her work.
She returned to her duties last fall and it was only within the last month that her condition had become serious.
She was born in Decatur, Ind., Aug. 15, 1876, and had resided in this city nearly all her life.
Surviving are her mother, Mrs. Dora Adelsperger, residing near Notre Dame University; five sisters, Mrs. June Bevier and Mrs. Victor E. Paxson, both of this city, Mrs. A. M. Kelly, of Chicago, Mrs. Henry Kramer, of Chamita, N. M. and Mrs. C. W. Call, of Hashrouck Heights, N. J., and two brothers, A. E. Adelsperger, of Marshfield, Ore., and Wiliam Adelsperger, of Kansas City, Mo.
The body may be viewed at the residence of Mrs. Paxson, Dixie Highway North, beginning Wednesday afternoon.
