Donald Paul Allen

Donald Paul Allen, 91, passed away on March 12, 2025, in Raleigh, NC.

Born on June 5, 1933, Don attended St. Joseph grade school ('48) and South Bend Central High School ('52). He served his country in the U.S. Army as part of the 304th Signal Battalion from June 18, 1953, to May 18, 1955. Following his military service, he built a dedicated career as a technician with General Telephone Communications, where he worked from 1966 until his retirement in 1993.

On May 13, 1961, Don married Patricia Plonski at St. Adalbert Church in South Bend, IN. He is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Allen; his children, James Allen (Meigo), Nancy Allen-LaPointe (Mark), David Allen (Sandra), and Barbara Due (Steve); and his grandchildren, Andrew LaPointe, Kristin LaPointe, and Ozzie Allen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Anna Allen; his siblings Robert Allen, Jane Stanley, Gertrude Beyers, Joyce Petnuch, Dale Allen, and Ernest Szybowicz.

In accordance with his wishes, no memorial services will be held. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
