Charles F. Weiss

Charles F. Weiss, 53, of 612 Cushing St., died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Apr. 5, 1961, in Memorial Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was the owner of the Town and Country Camera Shop on Portage Ave. He was born in South Bend on Oct. 24, 1907 and spent his lifetime here. On April 5, 1941 in South Bend he married Helen Carey, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Miss Marilyn Weiss, at home.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Orvis Funeral Home where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Walter D. Oberholtzer, pastor of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Highland  Cemetery. He, was a veteran of World War II serving as a captain. He was a lifetime member of Chapter 6, Disabled American Veterans: a member of Post 50, American Legion; and of the Monogram Club of Notre Dame, where he was a football team manager.
