Gladys Maxine Lechlitner (Cullers)

Gladys M. (Lechlitner) Cullers

Apr 5, 1909 - Aug 27, 1977

Gladys M. Cullers, 68, of 853 E. 5th, was found dead in the bedroom of a home at 914 W. Battell about 9:20 a.m. Saturday. Police said two empty pill bottles were found in her purse and that she had been despondent over the recent death of her husband.

Dr. Stanley Koscielski, county coroner, who investigated the death, has deferred making a ruling on the cause of death pending the results of blood analysis. She retired from Uniroyal in 1971 after 43 years service.

She was born on April 5, 1909, in Mishawaka and had lived most her life in the area.

On Sept. 15, 1934, in Plymouth, she married Glenn Cullers, who died on July 26. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Young, Mrs. Helen Dobbins and Mrs. Dorothy Orr, all of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Holl Palmer Funeral Home,
