Charles William Hahn, 75, of 1568 Wildflower Way? died Sunday morning in North Broward Hospital, Pompano Beach, Fla., while at his winter home in Deerfield, Fla. Mr. Hahn began private law practice in South Bend in 1932, and was the senior partner of Hahn, Knepp, Botkin, Dvorak & Roberts, Attorneys at Law. Born July 25, 1909, in South Rend, he was a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 1, 1934, in South Bend, he married the former Mary Hunter, who survives. He also is survived by a daughter, Virginia Knepp of South Bend; a son, Arthur of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; and a Brother, Robert of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Cremation will take place and memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.

He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, where he was a former first reader, a member of the Mother Church of Boston, the Exchange Club of South Bend where he was president in 1950, Morris Park Country Club, St. Joseph Lodge 45 F & AM, and Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend.  

He was a 1927 graduate of the former South Bend Central High School, and received his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law. In 1944, Hahn was elected president of the St. Joseph County Republican. Club, and in 1963 was elected president of the South Bend Civic Planning Association.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of Christ Scientist of South Bend or the Scholarship Foundation of St. Joseph County.
