Geraldine W. (Carlson) Molnar

Geraldine W. Molnar, 75, of 1147 Blaine Ave., died at 2:20 a.m. Sunday in Cardinal Convalescent Center. Mrs. Molnar was employed as a secretary for Indiana & Michigan Electric Co. and Zion United Church of Christ. Born June 30, 1909, in South Bend, she was a lifetime area resident.

As Geraldine W. Carlson, she married Emery F. Molnar in South Bend on 1 Oct. 1, 1966. He survives along with a sister, Lorene Wolf of Cassopolis, and a brother, Leonard S. Carlson of Osceola.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Zion United Church of Christ, and burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St.

She was a member of Elkhart Conservation Club. She was a frequent contributor to The Tribune's Voice of the People and Michiana Point of View columns.

She also wrote articles for the St. Joseph County Humane Society. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society, of which she was a member.
