SOUTH BEND - Margaret E. Harnisch, 74, of Cottonwood, Ariz., formerly of South Bend, died Friday in Cottonwood. Mrs. Harnisch was a former instructor at Saint Mary's College and a former piano and organ instructor at Indiana University at South Bend.

She was born March 9, 1918, in South Bend.

She is survived two daughters, Beverly Ann Hall of New Castle, Ind., and Barbara Jean Maxedon of Canada; and a, brother, Richard Jackson of Palm Desert, Calif.

She was past dean of the St. Joseph County Chapter of American Guild of Organists, former chairman of the National Guild of Piano Teachers, past president of South Bend Piano Teachers Association, and past worthy organist of White Shrine.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Mountain View United Methodist Church, Cottonwood. Westcott. Funeral Home, Cottonwood, is in charge of arrangements.
