Jones H. Grant

SOUTH BEND - Jones H. Grant, 82, of 3220 Rue Voltaire, died at 3:26 a.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Grant retired in 1970 from the Bendix Corp. missile plant in Mishawaka, and also was employed at the Federal Aviation Administration. He was born July 27, 1909, in Marshall County and moved to South Bend from Hamlet in 1923.

On Oct. 7, 1930, in South Bend, he married Marie Bauer. She survives with two daughters, Artie J. Bussert of Morton, Ill., and Pat J. Cudahy of Coldwater, Mich.; a son, Gary A. of Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; a sister, Edith King of Whitewater, Wis.; and two brothers, •Robert A. of Mishawaka and Roland of South Bend.

He was a member of River Park United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 294, Scottish Rite Valley of South Bend and Bendix Senior Management Club, and was past noble grand of IOOF Grand Lodge 29.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
