MISHAWAKA — David M. Feferman, 99, of Mishawaka, IN, and formerly of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, at Caring Junction, Mishawaka. He was born in 1910 in Brest-Litovsk Poland to the late Mollie (Drucker) and Max Feferman.

On March 12, 1952, in Chicago, IL, he married Miriam Alberts who preceded him in death on May 17, 2002. Mr. Feferman was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Heller and Ruth Feferman and a brother, Louis Feferman.

Surviving Mr. Feferman are two sons, Howard A. Rosenbaum of Chicago and Robert (Rabbi Shoshana) Feferman of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Efrat, Dan, Dr. Joel and Amy and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Feferman was a salesman for the former Feferman Cadillac and Oldsmobile in South Bend and had also worked as a salesman at Dreisbach Motors and retired in 1993, at age 82, form Gurley Leep Motors. Mr. Feferman was an alumnus of the Experimental Program at the University of Wisconsin and was a 1934 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the Glee Club. From 1937-1939, he worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps in Santa Barbara, CA, as an education advisor working with the under-privileged and high school drop outs.

On March 3, 1943 he entered the United States Army Air Corps where he was a special service officer serving overseas for 20 months in Burma and India and was discharged in 1946. Prior to his military service Mr. Feferman was a U.S.O. area director
