Clement C. Wolfe, 53, of 21631 Fairview Ave., died at 6 p.m. Sunday in the St. Joseph's Hospital after a 10-month illness.

He was an employee of the South Bend Post Office. He was born on Sept. 7, 1918, in South Bend, and had lived in South Bend all of his life.

On Jan. 4, 1947, he married Evelyn Schroeder, who survives, along with his mother, Mrs. Stella Wolfe of South Bend; two brothers, Jack J. of South Bend, and James R. of Bosie, Idaho, and two sisters, Mrs. Janet M. Hojara and Miss Shirley A. Wolfe, both of South Bend.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way W.

Mr. Wolfe was a World War II veteran, and graduated in 1951 from Indiana University, Bloomington. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.
