Grover James Uhl

A faithful worker in the First Church of God, Grover James Uhi, 47, died Thursday at a local hospital after a long illness. He served his church as Sunday School superintendent and was member of the board of trustees. In the mechanical standards division of Sandia Corp., he came to Albuquerque 11 years ago from South Bend, Ind.
He was born June 2, 1919, in South Bend.
Surviving are his widow; five sons, James Eugene and Edward Lee Uhl, both of Albuquerque, Bobby Joe Uhl of Sylmar, Calif., Michael Jerome Uhl, U.S. Army, Fort Lewis, Wash., and Brian Lee U.S. Army, Indianapolis, Ind.; two daughters, Dawn Caress and Teena Uhl, both of Albuquerque, a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the StrongThorne Chapel. Members of the board of trustees at the First Church of God will be pallbearers.
