Walter B. Thomson

Walter B. Thomson. 86, residing on Britt Avenue, Elkhart. IN, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Thursday, May 5. 2005, in his home. He worked for Drewry's in South Bend until their closing, then retired from South Bend Water Works following more than 15 years of service.

He was born on Jan. 18, 1919, in South Bend. Ind., to Frank and Gertrude (Richardson) Thomson, and was a lifelong resident.

On March 15, 1987, in Elkhart, Ind., he married Velma (James) Thomson, who survives. Along with his wife. Velma Thomson of Elkhart, he is survived by two stepdaughters. Brenda Carson and Phyllis Robinson, both of South Bend; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Carpenter of South Bend.
