Anna Jeanette (Thompson) Gooley

Anna Jeannette Gooley, 50, of 54389 Palmer St., died at 9:45 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital after an extended illness. She was a lifetime resident of South Bend, born here Dec. 21, 1918.

On Dec. 23, 1939, she was married in Atlanta, Ga., to John H. Gooley, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Thomas D., and a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Lynn, both of South Bend; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Edith M. King, of Sullivan, Ind.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Hollis Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Notre Dame, with Rev. Harold W. Riley, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
