SZUCS - Services for George Andre Szucs, 67, of 737 S. Falcon St., who was dead on arrival at 7:35 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow, will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home where the parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

He was a retired usher at Holy Family Church and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was employed as a maintenance man at Holy Family Parish for 30 years.

Born Oct. 28, 1917, in South Bend, he lived here all his life.

On June 24, 1943, in South Bend, he married Evelyn M. Poturalski. She survives with two daughters, Christine Crothers of South Bend and Patricia Davidson of Lilburn, Ga.; a son, Patrick of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Ferency of South Bend; and two brothers, Emery Szucs of South Bend and Paul Szucs of North Liberty.
