WYCKOFF - Funeral services for Ben Summer Jr., of 409 Russell Ave was held on Monday in the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave. with the Rev. Douglas Smith, pastor of the Reformed Church officiating.
A resident of Wyckoff for nine years, Mr. Summer died last Friday in his home of a heart attack. He was 45 years of age. Born in Goshen, Ind., he had formerly made his home in Paterson and had been employed by the United States Rubber Co. in Passaic as an Industrial Engineer for the last 19 years. He was a member of the firm's Key Club.
In addition to his wife, the former Rita Schmaeling, Mr. Summer is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann and Mary Ann Summer; a son, Thomas all living at home; his father, Ben Summer Sr., of Modesto, Calif. and three sisters, Mrs. Lois Wing of Modesto, Calif.; Mrs. Ermee Dixon of Dunwoodie, Ga. and Mrs. Mary Shirk of Niles, Michigan.
