Richard G. Pritzel, 64, of 52215 Brookview Ct., died unexpectedly shortly before 8 a.m. today in the home of his nephew at 17117 Hagey St. He had been a Bendix Corp. employee, retiring seven years ago.

Born on July 23, 1919, in South Bend, he lived here all his life.

On June 6, 1942, in South Bend, he married Viola L. Hess. She survives with two sons, Richard L. of Des Moines, Iowa, and Thomas A. of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Miller of Owensboro, Ky.

He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, Bendix Local 9, American Turners, American Legion Post 303, VFW 8748 and Bowlers Country Club.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Little Flower Catholic Church, with Rev. William J. Neidhart, CSC, officiating. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson.
