Joseph F. Molnar, 56, of 221 N. St. Louis, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a lengthy illness. Molnar was a former shopworker at Sibley Machine & Foundry Corp. Born July 18, 1918, in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime.

On July 10, 1954, in South Bend, he married Violet Lindgren, who survives. Also surviving are a brother, John of South Bend, and two nieces and a nephew.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Paul G. Wendel, C.S.C., pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel, where the rosary will be recited at. 7 p.m. Sunday by the members of Santa Maria Council 553, Knights of Columbus, of which he was a member. A parish wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Molnar was a member of the Shrine Lady of Snows; the St Francis Purgatorial Society; the Pontifical Association. of the Holy Childhood, and the Franciscan Seminary Society of St. Anthony.
