William J. Miller Jr., 60, of 1120 Oak Ridge, died at midnight Saturday in Elkhart General Hospital after an apparent heart attack. He was superintendent of the tool room for Dodge Manufacturing in Mishawaka.
He was born on April 9, 1919, in South Bend, and had lived here all his life. On April 6, 1947, in Mishawaka, he married Raeffa Siade. She survives along with a daughter, Miss Judith Miller of South Bend; a son, William L. of South Bend; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Koehler of South Bend and Mrs. Norma Moffet of Latham, N. Y. and a brother, Lloyd M. of Eldridge, Iowa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Zion United Church of Christ. Rev. Donald I. Kaufman, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William.
He was a member of Zion Church, Portage Lodge 675, Free and Accepted Masons, the National Management Association, Moose. Lodge of South Bend, the Dodge Management Forum and the Dodge Quarter Century Club. He was an Army Air Corps of World War II. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion United Church of Christ.
