Dale A. Miller

Dale Arthur Miller, 82, of Finch Drive, South Bend, died at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2001 in his home. He was born July 2, 1919, in South Bend as the son of Finn D. and Clara H. (Gollnick) Miller. He lived most of his life in this area except for a short time in Crawfordsville and Indianapolis.

He retired in 1987 as an independent sales and manufacturer's rep with Molex Inc., following 35 years of service.

On September 23, 1961 in Indianapolis, he married Mildred DeLamar. She passed away in February 1992.

Then on May 25, 1996 in South Bend he married LaFerne Lord, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Janice (Richard) Miller Turney of Edwardsburg, MI; four step children, Yolanda (Peter) Blouin of West Peabody, Mass, Donald H. (Laura) Lord Ill of Mishawaka, IN, Patricia (Mark) Brochin of Washington, IN, and Richard C. (RoseAnn) Lord of South Bend, IN. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Michelle Kay, Todd Turney, Debra Dennison, Sherrie Jones, Cheryl Wright and Mark Miller; and eight step-grandchildren, Patrick Blouin, Christopher Lord, Robin Lord, Bryan Lord, David Lord, Magan Lord, Andrew Brochin, and Elizabeth Brochin, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roger A. Miller in 1994 and a sister, Mardella L. Hensler in 1982.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, December 31, in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Indianapolis. Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, 2002 in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 805 South 29th Street, South Bend. Rev. Daniel A. Streufert, pastor will officiate.

Memorials may be offered to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637 or to the Dale A. Miller Memorial Fund, c/o Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, South Bend. The Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, is handling arrangements
