Edwin Stan (Duke) Kuzmicz

Edwin S. Kuzmicz, 60, of 1414 N. Meade, died at 6:50 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a brief illness. He was employed by the South Bend Community School Corp. as a custodian. He was born on March 5, 1919, in South Bend, and had lived here all his life.
On Nov. 8, 1941, in South Bend, he married Irene Wrobel. She survives, along with two sons, Michael A. of Lisle, Ill., and Kenneth J. of South Bend; two granddaughters, and four brothers, Raymond of San Francisco, Calif., and Aloysius, Frank and Norman, all of South Bend.
Services were to be at 11 a.m. today in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph A. Jacobs, pastor, was to officiate. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Z. B. Falcons, Nest 80.
