John Steve Kovatch

John S. Kovatch, 56, of 1501 W. Ewing died unexpectedly of an apparent heart attack about 8:10 p.m. Sunday in Silver Bay. Minn.. while returning from a vacation in Canada. He was born Dec. 6, 1918 in South Bend, and had lived here all his life. He was employed as maintenance supervisor at the A.M. General Corp.here.

He was married to the former Irene Bedi on Nov. 8. 1941, in Our Lady of Hungary Church. She survives with his father. Steven Kovatch of South Bend; three sons. John R.. Mark S. and Matthew L.., all at home; two daughters. Kris M at home and Mrs. Nancy DiLullo of Las Vegas, Nev., and a granddaughter.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 to I and 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Mishawaka, when. a rosary will be recited at p.m. Wednesday by the St. Ann's Rosary Society. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Hungary Church, of which Kovatch was a member.
