SOUTH BEND - Irene S. Adamczak, 77, of Orchid Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born July 4, 1919, in South Bend, where she was a litelong area resident.

She retired in 1984 from the Bendix Corporation. Mrs. Adamczak was the daughter of Jennie and Frank Kolczynski. She is survived by a sister, Lillian Wiodarek of New Carlisle, Ind.; a niece, Janice Taylor of Schenectady, N.Y.; and by a great-niece, Jennifer Taylor of Fayetteville, N.Y.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Kolczynski, who died on April 21, 1991.

Mrs. Adamczak was a graduate of South Bend Central High School and was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, South Bend.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. on Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery..
