Margaret A. (Jonas) Popielski

Margaret A. (Jonas) Popielski, 64, of 1832 S. Nash, died at 7:25 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was retired from the Torrington Co. She was born on March 13, 1919, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident.

On May 10, 1952, in South Bend, she married Fredrick Popielski. He survives with a sister, Mrs. Mary Lisk of South Bend, and a brother, Paul Jonas of South Bend.

Services will be at 9 of a.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Rev. Robert Mahoney, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m Tuesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where the Sacred Heart and Rosary Society, of which she was a member, will lead a rosary at 3 p.m.

She also was a member of the Torrington Retirees Club
