SOUTH BEND - South Bend - Rosemary "Rosie" Huber- Sergeant, 98, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Presence Heritage Village in Kankakee, IL.

Rosie was born May 28, 1919 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Joseph and Rose (Kovach) Huber. On October 12, 1940, Rosie married Marin Sergeant, he preceded her in death on July 30, 2003. Rosie was also preceded in death by her siblings, John, Joseph, and Francis Huber.

Survivors of Rosie include sons, John (Janet) Sergeant of Wilmington, DE; Dr. Michael (Beth) Sergeant of Saint Anne, IL; a sister, Jeanette Orlowski of South Bend; grandchildren Barry, Wendy, Holly, Michael Jr., Sarah, Andrew, Timothy and Leah and great-grandchildren, Meghan, Ronin, Arman-Julia, Isabella, Lucy, Audrey, Isabelle, Thompson, Nolan, Harvey, Juliana and Lydia.

Rosie was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing Poker with her friends.

Visitation for Rosie will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am EST., Friday, August 25, 2017 in Holy Family Catholic Church, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am EST. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
