Irene E. (Hagman) Celmer

Irene E. Celmer, 65, of 19312 Haviland, died at 4 a.m. Saturday in her home after a six-month illness. She had worked at the Drewrys Brewing Co. and at Ramada Inn for the past five years.
Born July 20, 1918, in South Bend, she had lived here all her life.
On April 29, 1939, in South Bend, she married Clement W. Celmer, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Suzanne Holloway of Marcellus, Mrs. Joyce Dee of Michigan City and Mrs. Beverly Wooten and Mrs. Joan Laughlin, both of South Bend; a son, Clement B. of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Geyer and Mrs. Mabel Horvath, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Loretta Heyde of New Port Richey, Fla.; and two brothers, Arthur Hagman of South Bend and Vernon Hagman of Chicago.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Christ the King Catholic Church. Rev. Joseph Fey, CSC, pastor, will officiate. Entombment will be at Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 U.S. 33 N., where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. She was a member of Christ the King Church, past president of Eagles Auxiliary 435, and secretary of the Eagles Women's Bowling Association.
