Eugene Dale Gugle

COCHRAN- Services for Eugene Dale "Barney" Gugle will be held at 3 p.m. today Salem Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Gugle, 78, died Saturday at his residence. Born in Logansport, Ind., he had lived in Bleckley County for the past 53 years. He was the son of the late Charles and Ella Cloud Gugle.
He was a retired employee of Georgia Kaolin in Dry Branch, a World War II Army Air Corp veteran, and a former member of the Bleckley County School Board. He was also a member and deacon of the Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie S. Gugle; daughter, Dale Johnson of Cochran; and two grandsons, Stacey Johnson and Jason Johnson, both of Cochran.
The body will be placed in the church an hour before services. The family may be contacted at the residence of James and Dale Johnson, Route 1, Salem-Cary Road, Cochran. Mathis Funeral Home has charge of arrangements
