Joyce A. (Goss) Nowak

May 15, 1919 - Nov 11, 1988

Joyce A. Nowak, 69, of 3509 Woldhaven Drive, died about 3:55 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Nowak was born May 15, 1919, in South Bend and had been a lifelong area resident.

On Sept. 19, 1940, in South Bend, as Joyce A. Goss, she married Joseph S. Nowak, who died in 1984.

She is survived by a daughter, Joellen Stout of South Bend; a son, James J. of Warsaw; five grandchildren; and a brother, William Stanley Goss of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Nowak was a member of the church, Rosary Society and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1167 Ladies Auxiliary.
