Gertrude L. (Gleason) Beilby

Gertrude L. Beilby, age 67 of Hessville passed away Sunday, May 24, 1987 at Broadway Methodist Hospital.

Survivors: daughter, Barbara (Elton) Mock; son, Tom Beilby; two grandchildren, - Beth Ann and Danny Roy Mock all of Hessville; one sister, Jane (Charles) Wilson of South Bend, Indiana.

Preceded in death by her husband, L. Jack Beilby and two sisters, Marion Daron and Helen Tolle.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 27 at 11 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Hammond with Dr. Jack Hyles and Dr. Johnny Colsten officiating. Burial, Greenwood Michigan City, Indiana. Friends are invited to call at the Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Ave., Hessville on Tuesday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Beilby was a resident of the Calumet Area for 48 years; the former Manager of Southworth Bookstore at Purdue University; retired from Croch & Brentano's of River Oaks after 17 years; and a member of the First Baptist served as the former President of Church of Hammond - where she the W.M.S., attended the New Life Class, was a member of the Ireland Circle and the Best Years Club
