C. Jack Emmons, 69, of 19346 Darden Road, died at 1:45 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Emmons retired from the Bendix Corp.'s aircraft division after 30 years of service. He was born Aug. 13, 1918, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Oct. 29, 1950, in South Bend, he married Lucille M. Miller, who died in 1971. He is survived by two sons, C. Jack Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., and Bob of South Bend, and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles. Mr. Emmons was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and attended Northside Assembly of God.

He was a veteran of World War II and received the Bronze Star.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
