Clem M. Czyzewski

MISHAWAKA — Clem M. Czyzewski, 93, of Fountainview Place in Mishawaka, Indiana passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Clem was born on February 24, 1919 in South Bend, Indiana to Frank and Mary (Smucinski) Czyzewski. Clem retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service.

On September 28, 1946, Clem married Rita T. Radecki who survives. Surviving with his wife Rita is a son, Greg A. Czyzewski of Mishawaka, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews who will miss his joke telling and sense of humor.

Brothers Frank, Stanley, and William Czyzewski and Casimer & Joseph Alvin all preceded him in death.

Clem was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid Notre Dame and Cubs fan and a closet Yankees fan.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 30, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, South Bend, Indiana, with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery.
