Funeral services will be held for Norman Cottier, 36, formerly of Benton Harbor, Tuesday morning at the Forest G. Hay funeral home, 2301 South Michigan street, South Bend. Mr. Cottier, a World War II veteran, died Friday night at the St. Joseph hospital in South Bend, after several months illness. He suffered a heart condition.

His home is at 1009 South Gladstone street, South Bend.

Born September 10, 1917, in Traverse city, he lived in Benton Harbor until after the death of his father, during his high school days. He then moved to South Bend with his mother.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; two daughters, Christine and Carol; his mother, Mrs. Frank Harms, and a sister, Mrs. Barbara Witling, all of South Bend; another sister, Mrs. Geanne (Jeanne) Fitzgerald, of Chicago, and a half-brother, Jack Harms, of South Bend. Mrs. John Bloom of Watervilet is an aunt of Mr. Cottier.

Burial will be in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial park in South Bend.
