John R. Condon

Services for John R. Condon, 69, of 3110 Sunnymede Ave., who died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in his home, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Monica's Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Cremation will take place at Riverview Crematory. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m.• Tuesday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., where a parish rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mr. Condon was a salesman and buyer for the former Max Adler's from 1948 to 1966. He also was a salesman for the former Twin City Beauty & Supply, Mishawaka, and Bailey's Beauty Supply and retired in 1984 from Southmore Mutual Housing Corp.

He was born Feb. 27, 1919, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

On Feb. 15, 1941, in Mishawaka, he married Anne M. Lichotowich, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mary Stanton of South Bend; eight sons, John M., Jeffrey and Steven, all of South Bend, Patrick J. and William E., both of Mishawaka, Timothy M. of Elkhart, Richard E. of Valparaiso and Terry P. of St. Louis; 21 grandchildren; three great children; and a sister, Patricia Scherer of Worthingham, Ohio.

Mr. Condon was a member of the church and its Ushers Club for 25 years and was a former 3rd District Democratic committeeman.
