SOUTH BEND - Dorothy Marie Schaut, 94, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013. Dorothy was born on March 10, 1919, in South Bend, to Steve and Bertha (Buysse) Barzo. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Schaut; a sister, Marie Spicher; and a brother, Steve Barzo. On June 15, 1940, in South Bend, she married Gustave Schaut, who preceded her in death in 1997.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Louis) Taylor of South Bend; a son, Steve (Rebecca) Schaut of Elkhart; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Natile Tripp of South Bend.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 12, from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home, with Rev.
