Clinton M. Barfell Sr

April 21, 1919 – Nov. 6, 2004

Clinton M. Barfell Sr., 85, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Walkerton, Ind., met Jesus at 8:30 p.m.Saturday, Nov.6. Clinton was born April 21, 1919, in East Chicago, Ind., to Clinton and Thelma (Anderson) Barfell, who preceded him in death. Also going before him were one sister, Iva Brokus of Michigan, one brother, Lloyd M. of South Bend, Ind., and his beloved little girl, Lori Jordan.

Clinton worked at Ball Band from 1948 to 1970 when he retired and moved to Sanford, Fla.His family brought him to South Bend on Aug.30 and then to Miller’s Merry Manor. He had attended First Baptist Church in Geneva, Fla., and was deeply devoted to his Lord and Savior.

Surviving are a son, Clinton M.; a grandson, Paul;great- grandchildren, David, Jason and Makaila of Auburn, Ind.; two nieces, Jan Barfell Hunt of South Bend and Margayle Barfell Williams of Huntsville, Ala.; and two nephews, Mike and John Brokus of Michigan.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all the staff at Miller’s for their wonderful care of Clinton.They also wish to thank Pastor Mel Coil for his visits which meant a lot to Clinton. There will be no visitation. Clinton will be laid to rest next to his daughter at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, Ind. Private graveside services will be held Nov.11. Pastor Mel Coil of Gospel Center Missionary Church in South Bend will officiate
